1. About AutoX Play

AutoX Play Launcher is an Android application designed to provide a convenient interface for accessing applications, navigation, multimedia and other features available on compatible devices.

AutoX Play is particularly designed for use with automotive infotainment and multimedia systems.

2. Personal Information

AutoX Play does not sell personal information and does not collect or share personal information for advertising or profiling purposes.

The application uses information and permissions provided by the Android operating system only when necessary to provide launcher and navigation functionality. Some features process your device location — see Section 3.

3. Location Information

Some features of AutoX Play use your device's location. This applies specifically to the in-app Navigation screen, which shows a map, lets you search for places, calculates routes and provides turn-by-turn guidance.

What we access

• Approximate location — used to center the map, bias place-search results toward your area and load the correct map tiles.
• Precise location (GPS) — used to show your position on the map, calculate routes from your current position and provide turn-by-turn navigation.

Location is accessed only while the Navigation screen is in use and only after you grant the Android location permission. AutoX Play does not access your location in the background and does not use location for advertising or profiling.

How location is transmitted

The Navigation feature is built on the open-source MapLibre mapping library and related open-source components (see Section 6). To draw the map and compute routes, the following data is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to third-party map, routing and search providers:

Map tiles are cached locally on your device to reduce data usage. Route and search coordinates are sent per request to the providers above. AutoX Play does not operate its own servers for these features and does not store your location history on any server.

Favorite places and recently used routes that you create in the Navigation screen are stored locally on your device and can be removed from within the app.

Each provider processes the data it receives under its own privacy policy:

4. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Depending on the device and enabled features, AutoX Play may request access to Android connectivity features, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, to display connection status and to provide access to or control of connectivity features available on the device.

On Android, reading the name (SSID) of the connected Wi-Fi network requires a location permission. AutoX Play uses the location permission for this purpose in addition to the Navigation feature described in Section 3. The Wi-Fi network name and the connected Bluetooth device name are shown only on your screen and are not transmitted off the device.

AutoX Play does not use these permissions to sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.

5. Installed Applications

As a launcher, AutoX Play reads the list of applications installed on your device so it can display them and let you open them, including navigation, music, communication and other compatible applications.

This list is processed on your device only. It is not transmitted off the device and is not shared with any third party.

Applications you open through AutoX Play are developed and operated by third parties and have their own privacy policies and terms of service. AutoX Play does not control their privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of those applications before using them.

6. Third-Party Services and SDKs

AutoX Play includes third-party open-source components to provide the Navigation feature, primarily the MapLibre mapping library and a navigation module built on top of it. These components make the network requests to the map, routing and search providers listed in Section 3.

AutoX Play does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs that transmit personal information for those purposes.

7. Local Storage

AutoX Play may store certain information locally on your device when necessary to provide its functionality.

This may include application preferences, launcher configuration, interface settings, cached map tiles, and favorite places and recent routes from the Navigation screen.

Such information is stored locally on the device and is not used for advertising purposes.

8. Data Sharing

AutoX Play does not sell personal information and does not share personal information with third parties for advertising or behavioral profiling purposes.

The Navigation feature sends location data to the mapping, routing and search providers listed in Section 3, solely to provide that feature. Those providers process the data under their own privacy policies.

Other third-party services or applications used through AutoX Play may have their own data practices, which are independent of this Privacy Policy.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information used by the application against unauthorized access, alteration, or misuse, and network requests made by the app are sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

However, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information stored on a device.

10. Children's Privacy

AutoX Play is not specifically directed toward children and does not intentionally collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, services, or applicable legal requirements.

When significant changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.

12. Your Rights

Depending on applicable laws, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request information about its processing, access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
